So today’s post is just me patting myself on the back. This is a year’s difference to the day. It’s amazing the amount of change a person can bring upon themselves with some willpower and the willingness to learn and adapt to new ideas. Simple changes to what you eat and how you spend your free time can make all the difference. Not only am I in the best shape of my life these days, I’m happier in general. More energy, more positive outlook, I don’t dread my alarm clock going off in the morning, and now going to the gym and eating healthy are things I look forward to rather than try to avoid. My recommendation for anybody who has hit a rut in their life; if you want your life to change (love life, career, personal life, whatever) start by taking proper care of yourself. Change happens from the inside out. When you’re healthier, you’re happier, and when you’re happier, everything just seems to work out for the best.

Super Sets for Fitness Blast

This one is for my fellow fitness fanatics. Ha. Alliteration is awesome. Always. Word of the day is SuperSet. It’s good for everything. Weight loss, muscle gains, whatever. If you’re trying to push through to the next level then start introducing supersets. Puts a massive amount of strain on the body that forces it to adapt. Saturday afternoon (keep in mind I’m writing this on Tuesday) I wound up doing what I like to call an “extended super set. Here’s how it went.

Abdominal Rollout x 15
Decline twisting sit-ups x 20
Stationary bike 5-10 mins.

Repeat x3.

This is probably one of the hardest abdominal sets I’ve ever convinced myself to do. Like I said it is now Tuesday, three full days later, and I still cry like a little girl if I have to sneeze or cough.

That’s just one example. There are literally an infinite number of ways you can combine sets into a super set. And an infinite number of ways to push your body in ways it’s never experienced, and when it comes right down to it that is how progress is made. Nobody ever got anywhere doing the same thing every time, in the gym or in the other facets of your life.

Always change it up, keep pushing, try new things, everybody reacts differently to exercise so you need to find what works for you.

Supersets. Do them.

First Official Post

Ok, so I know I don’t have any followers yet but I am going to throw a short post out here anyways just to start to get into the groove. I’m going to begin with why I started this blog. For a few years I felt that my life had become very stagnant, and I was not making very much forward progress. Luckily enough, these days I can happily say the exact opposite. I have begun to really turn my life around, and have rediscovered a few lost passions, as well as discovering a few new ones along the way, ie. fitness and proper nutrition, conspiracy theories and the truth (or lies) behind them, self improvement and self education, to name a few. My real purpose behind this blog will be to spread what I know to as many people as will listen. A fair warning though, I am highly opinionated, and if you are a close-minded, nescient, or ignorant individual, this probably won’t be high on your list of “most visited”.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
